Dan Wolfe from Smoky Mountain Magic just announced he is going to have 3 new ornaments related to Houdini this year. One of them is seriously off the charts. It is a recreation of Houdini's Vanishing Elephant. Basically, it's a box, that has an elephant inside and you can see through the entire thing. Then suddenly, the elephant actually vanishes! Yes, it actually works!!!!
The next is a straitjacket ornament, in the traditional style of straitjacket that Houdini wore. The final ornament is a flat piece with a commemorative Houdini poster laser printed on it, which is for the Centennial of his passing.
I don't yet have pictures of these things, as I only now just saw the video on Facebook. He doesn't have it on youtube, otherwise I would have given you a link. The Houdini ornaments go onsale, 12:01 am October 31st 2026.
Dan will also be producing his traditional set of 5 new magic related ornaments as well. He has not revealed what those are.
In past years, Dan has recreated in ornament form, the Substitution Trunk, The Milk Can, and the Houdini Water Torture Cell. Now is your chance to round out the entire set. You can learn more here https://www.smmagic.com/blog1/?product=magic-christmas-ornaments
