Houdini The Pioneer Aviator!

Houdini was always on the cutting edge of technology. Nothing could be more important during his life time than the development of the flying machine, the airplane.  Only a few years before, the Wright brothers had their first test flight for a mere matter of seconds at Kitty Hawk, thus proving that artificial flight could be obtained by humans.

Houdini purchased a Voisin Airplace while on tour in Europe, and took flying lessons. Then he packed his plane for a trip to Australia. He hoped that perhaps this would be something he could be remembered by, being the first pioneer aviator in Australia. I guess he underestimated his actual fame.

Now, you can watch some archival footage of Houdini flying his plane!
