He claimed to have bought it from the estate sale of Rudolph Valentino in 1926, coincidentally the same year Houdini died.
It has been in my family ever since but now I am forced to part with many things due to a recent monetary misfortune.
It is signed with an extremely rare double autograph. First a standard signing and then higher up on same page this: "To my good friend W. Rogers, signed Houdini himself. Xmas, 1924" If you are interested please contact me at purkasz@aol.com. I have photos to send if you like. Serious inquiries only as I do not have much time and you are the first person I have contacted since I went to eBay and saw your offering. mickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13203681662660933556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7476836446638612873.post-73228689590285613182011-12-17T12:04:25.465-06:002011-12-17T12:04:25.465-06:00You don't get much bigger than Will Rogers for...You don't get much bigger than Will Rogers for that time period. When Will Rogers calls says "Houdini was the greatest showman of our time by far" that really puts it into perspective.......As if we had any doubts :)Carnegiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10142955905272650610noreply@blogger.com
